Serbian Legal Defense Update

A campaign is currently underway to help support our brothers and sisters who have been targeted by the US Government's arrest of Serbian immigrants throughout the United States. This door-to-door and telephone campaign is meeting with great success throughout the United States and Canada. Donations and commitments for additional monies to aid in the defense of those affected have already begun to pour in.

Later this week, St. Sava Church Board President Scott Raspopovich will take this campaign to Chicago where he will meet with the Serbian Consulate as well as with Serbian Congresswoman Melissa Bean. In addition, an editor for the Serbian newspaper Svedok is attempting to set up meetings between Mr. Raspopovich and several Chicago businessmen in an effort to gain additional support.

If you would like to help, please visit our online donation page. This is a fight not only for our Serbian Nationality, but also for our Orthodox faith. Thank you in advance for your support.

Multipurpse Building

While we have made significant progress on our Multipurpose building, we still have some work to do.

  • The floor, drywall and lighting in the second classroom still needs to be installed.

  • Fencing around the back yard of the building needs to be added, and

  • The playground needs to be completed.

A very special thank you to Susan Harris who so generously donated a play set for our playground. You too can help!! We are seeking donations to help complete this building. Please see Scott Raspopovich or call him at 727-409-3109 if you would like to contribute.

Church Hall Renovations

We are anticipating that renovations on our Church Hall and facilities will begin in March of 2007 once the Multipurpose building is completed. Please watch for more information coming soon!!!!
